'Label Only' Screengroup Buttons

'Label Only' Screengroup Buttons

With the flexibility of onePOS, some locations may opt to keep multiple kinds of merchandise buttons on one screen group. Whether the goal is a few screens as possible or simply enhanced organization,  we can use the 'Label Only' checkbox on the merchandise item to accomplish this.

Label only buttons will not do anything when you press them. They are specifically there as labels and nothing else.

Example

- At this location, they only utilize one main screengroup 'quick select' with lables for each section, and every button being programmed as a jump button

Manager Console Setup

- In Manager console, go to Merchandise > Modify Merchandise

- Navigate to the screengroup where you want the label button, select or add the item that will be the label button, and select Edit

- In the General tab, check the box labled "Label Only"

- To change the size and shape of the button, go to the Screens tab and navigate to the "BtnSz" (button size) dropdown box

- You'll also want to set a location which you can do by number (column, row - ex. 11 = column 1 row 1) or by clicking the Disp button.

- You can experiment with the different options of the button size dropdown box, and you can see how it will be displayed by clicking Disp
and mousing over the button to see what its size will be on the screen.

- Alternatively, to see the button size, you can hit OK to save changes and then view the screengroup directly in the terminal software.

- It is also reccomended to change the Color to ensure label buttons are distinct as labels.
