Understanding "Jump Items"

Understanding "Jump Items"

It is a fairly simple process if a location wants to create a menu item that, when selected, will automatically navigate or 'jump' to another screen group.

Firstly, add or edit the item in merchandise > modify merchandise , select the item, and select edit.
In the General tab, there is a checkbox entitled "Jump Item Only"

You will now see, once the selection of this checkbox is confirmed, that the links tab for the item looks different, only containing a drop box. This drop box determines the screen group that will be 'jumped' to

Once the screen group is selected, navigate to the screens tab for this same item, and select "adv"

Ensure "Allow Link" is checked and click OK.

One example of this in use was a location had a Redbull jump item on their n/a beverages list, and when selecting redbull it would open up a redbull screen group that would allow for selecting the flavor of redbull.
