Enforcing Scheduled Clock In and Clock Out

Enforcing Scheduled Clock In and Clock Out

Setup - System Preferences - Time Clock Setup

When using scheduling, you can configure how time clocks are enforced, whether it is the time frame around their scheduled work time they are allowed to clock in at, when they would need manager approval, and how it appears in reports. These behaviors work with both oneSchedule and HotSchedules. If you haven't set up any scheduling yet, see Setting up oneSchedule.

Stop Unscheduled Check-In: Prevent an employee from clocking in if they are not scheduled.

This will stop employees from working if they arrive on a day they are not scheduled to work.
Minutes Tardy: Number of minutes an employee can be late from their scheduled time before being considered tardy.
Minutes Early/Minutes Late: Number of minutes an employee can be early or late for clocking in.
Enforce Early/Late Check-Ins: Prevent an employee from clocking in if they are early/late.
These functions will allow you to control enforcing late and early clock-ins. In the example above, the system will only let an employee clock in 1 minute before their scheduled time up to 10 minutes after their scheduled time. If an employee attempts to clock in at any time outside of this, a manager will need to approve before they can start working.
Enforce Early/Late Check-OutsPrevent an employee from clocking out if they are early
This will allow you to ensure that your employees are leaving on time or ensure that they are staying until their scheduled time. Only one of these checkboxes should be used, as using both would restrict an employee being able to clock out to their EXACT scheduled clock out time.
Adj To Sch Warning In/Out: Adjusts clock in time to the scheduled time with warning if clocking in x minutes early/late.
Clock-In Early Adjust To Schd: Allows an employee to clock in early, but not be paid until their actual scheduled clock in time (not legal in some areas).
These functions allow your labor reports to snap to the scheduled time even if an employee clocks in/out around the scheduled times.
Warning: these type of management techniques are NOT legal in some areas. Please check your local laws before utilizing these features. onePOS is not responsible for any misuse of the software.
Print Time Slip On Clock In: Print time slip on employee clock in
Print Time Slip on Clock Out: Print time slip on employee clock in
Print Time Card On Clock Out: Print time slip on employee clock out
These will make the system automatically print time slips or time cards (copy of employee schedule) when an employee clocks in or out.
Checkout Before Clock Out: Requires an employee to perform an employee checkout before clocking out. This is also set up on the Security Role Level
