Android Tablet Bomgar Setup

Android Tablet Bomgar Setup

Connecting Tablet via BeyondTrust (Bomgar)

This guide walks you through the step-by-step process of installing and setting up BeyondTrust (formerly Bomgar) on an Android tablet to allow remote support.

Prerequisites

  • Android tablet with internet access, preferably already connected to onePOS network.

    • You can verify network connection through tablet settings > network. Wifi name will typically be onePOS.

  • Access to the Google Play Store

  • Session key provided by technician via Bomgar portal

If the tablet does not have a google account already logged in, you can create a new account or use an already active email / google account. It is advisable to make the account associated with the location itself (ex: business email such as manager@restaraunt.com

Make sure you have direct access to the email used to create the account for verification during initial account creation or any additional 2 factor authentication.

Typically, you will not need to do anything with this google account or email after the app is installed. This is because restaurant tablets are usually dedicated solely to using the onePOS application and will not ever have to access the google play store after initial setup.

Still, it is best to make sure you have access if you need. As a last resort, a new account can be created and there will be no issues.

- From "Downloaded Services", select Support

- Toggle Use service to ON.

Step 10: Full Control Enabled
