This guide walks you through the step-by-step process of installing and setting up BeyondTrust (formerly Bomgar) on an Android tablet to allow remote support.
Android tablet with internet access, preferably already connected to onePOS network.
You can verify network connection through tablet settings > network. Wifi name will typically be onePOS.
Access to the Google Play Store
Session key provided by technician via Bomgar portal
- Launch the Google Play Store from your tablet home screen.
- Use the search bar to type BeyondTrust and locate the app.
- Tap Install to download and install the application.
- Once installation is complete, tap Open
- In the BeyondTrust app, enter the site name: onepos.support
- The support technician will generate a session key from the Bomgar Support tab.
- The tablet user enters the session key and taps Submit.
- The tablet is now connected, but the technician still needs permission to fully control the device.
- Back on the tablet, go to: Settings (app accesible on home screen) > Accessibility > Support (icon of small figure)
- The process is complete. technician can now fully control the tablet remotely using Bomgar.
