New Tablet Setup

New Tablet Configuration (onePOS Android App)

Tablet Startup

(First Launch out of the box)

When you remove the Tablet from the box, Press the button on the lower right side of the Tablet to power the device on.

Once the device is on, unlock the screen by swiping up or entering the PIN 1234 *If prompted*

Swipe one screen to the right to find the onePOS Terminal Application.

Tap on the Terminal Icon once to open the Application.

You will be prompted for the Terminal ID as pictured below :

Enter the correct Terminal ID for your device. The Terminal ID should be provided for you by a onePOS Technician before you use the device.

After you’ve entered the Terminal ID, you will be prompted for your Server IP. This is the most often the IP Address for your Terminal 01. Any onePOS Technician will be able to identify this for you and should supply it for you before you begin initializing your tablets.

Commonly, onePOS will use the IP Address 192.168.0.101 for Terminal 01. This may not be the case for your installation, please consult a onePOS Technician before entering this information. The “ .  “ is top right, center of the screen.

After you’ve loaded your data from the Server (Typically Terminal 01), you will be prompted with a normal Sign-in screen with a PIN pad. Sign in to verify your menu has populated here and you will be all set.

*If your device is configured to accept payments, a card reader will be present on the back of the tablet*

All devices with card readers attached will need to follow these steps as well :

Sign in with a Managers code (You cannot use this to sign in if you use a Manager’s Card, a generic Tablet Manager profile is suggested if all Managers use cards to sign into terminals) and look to the far right column to find the Pair EMV Reader button as pictured below :

Once you press this button, you will see the pre-paired Chipper for your tablet like this :

Tap the “bbpos_cros CHB2A6132XXXXXX” Button above “Cancel” in the middle of your screen to select the correct device.

The Terminal application will return to the PIN pad at the Sign-in screen.

*It is very important to test the card reader by starting a table and completing a sale using the attached card reader*

If you cannot use the attached card reader, please consult a onePOS Technician before taking any further actions.
