WTI Overview

WTI (Worldwide Telecommunication Inc.) Routers are the routers we use to create a dedicated network for our product to work efficiently from. They are typically set after the customer's router, the communication route being Modem -> Router -> WTI Router. These are our preferred routers due to its additional features: its own firewall and ability to provide a Verizon data operating failsafe (the dual SIM offering both Verizon and AT&T data coverage).

Installation of a WTI requires access to the WTI Portal where a router's properties and parameters are set. These are usually already pre-set in a "template" that is pushed and downloaded into the WTI prior to installation for an easier install process.

The router's firewall acts as any firewall and can be modified through accessing the router with the correct credentials.

Probably the most important function of the WTI router is the ability to go into failover. This means if the router it's in front of, or the modem they both receive internet from, go out and the WTI is no longer receiving an internet connection, the router will switch to utilizing data. This data will begin providing internet to the devices within the WTI's network and remain active until 10 minutes after it registers an internet connection from the local devices.

The WTI router continues to be our preferred method of establishing an optimal network for our onePOS devices and taking care of our customers in difficult situations.
