When an employee first inputs their login ID at the terminal, it will open to a set screen. Usually, it opens straight to this screen that allows inputting of orders:
This is because when an employee logs in the majority of the time, the first thing they are going to do is input an order - so the software saves them some time.
The screen group at the top that comes up is determined through the following options contained in MC merchandise > menu
Select a menu, then select edit.
Initial default is the screen group that will appear when the employee initially logs in
Default is the screen group that will come up anytime after the initial login - meaning if you go to any other menu and then go back to the order screen, the default option will show up.
Now, if you want the dining area screen, like the one seen below, to show up first, there is another simple step to the process.
Navigate to setup > system preferences > hardware devices and select a terminal (ex: Terminal 01) then select edit
Navigate to the table access tab and uncheck the box Immediate Quick Sale
This box being unchecked means that upon login, the terminal user will be taken to the dining area screen instead of the order screen.
Note that this has to be set up per terminal. Checking this box on T1 won't carry over to others, so if you want this setting on those other terminals you must repeat the last 2 steps but for the other terminals.
