QSR Automations KDS Troubleshooting Tips

If all KDS units are down, communication with the QSR Primary Server is usually the issue. Use the QSR "KDS Console" to check the status. See the screenshot below. The Server can be a dedicated PC, Office PC or Term01. KDS Console and RDS Console will be installed on the Primary and Backup Server.    

Common issues are:
  1. QSR Service has stopped
  2. IP address of the server has changed 
  3. Server is not on a private network 
  4. Windows firewall is blocking the communication  




You can use the QSR "RDS Console" to check the IP address currently configured in the QSR system. See the screenshot below. Ensure that the Primary/Stand-Alone IP matches the PC running the QSR KDS Service.
