Printer Test - To Check Configuration
If you need to check the printer configuration, perform the following steps to print the printer test page.
- Turn the printer off.
- Hold the "Feed" button and turn the printer on.
- Keeping the feed button until the printer starts printing the "Test" page (See the sample picture below)
The printer test page gives some great information. Communication/Interface Type, IP Address, Baud Rate, Data Bits, Stop Bits, Parity and More.
*Note: After printing the test page, you must power cycle the printer to return it to normal operation mode.
Here is a sample of the Serial (RS232) interface settings
If it is an Ethernet printer, it will typically show the IP Address programmed.
