Opening a Tab

NOTE

This procedure will automatically open a new tab, name this new tab with the name on the credit card, preauthorize the customer’s credit card for the pre-set amount for your establishment while retaining the card info for later use, and place this new tab among other tabs on the tabs screen.

  1. Ensure you are clocked in as a bartender or manager. How to open a tab
  2. Ensure your “default” dining area is a tabs screen.
  3. Touch “quick sale” in the bottom left corner, or skip this step if your system is set to automatically start you in quick sale.
  4. Order at least one item.
  5. Touch “Close Check” at the bottom of the screen.
  6. Touch “Pre-Pay”.
  7. Swipe the credit card.
