oneSchedule is an app for iPhone and Android app that allows employees and managers to manage their schedule.
Specifically it allows employees to:
The employee needs to request a token from the POS system in order to login to oneSchedule. Enter the token in the textbox and tap "Employee Login"
Upon successful login you will be taken to the Schedule screen that shows a list of your shifts.
To access other parts of the app click the hamburger icon in the top left corner to reveal a slide out menu
The slide out menu provides access to other parts of the app.
You can tap the date button at the top of the screen or swipe left/right to view shifts for a different week on the 'My Schedule' screen
This screen shows the 'Shift Swap' section with the 'Offer' tab selected. You will see a list of your shifts, and you can offer these shifts to your co-workers.
By tapping on a shift, you will be asked if you wish to offer it for swap.
If you tapped 'Yes' on the previous screen, your shift will now have a status of "Pending". This means other employees can now grab your shift.
You can tap on the shift offer to retract it while the shift offer is still in the 'Pending' state.
If an employee chooses to take your shift the status will change to "Pending (Taken)", and you can no longer retract your request. The manager still needs to approve this shift swap before your shift is assigned to the other employee.
A green checkmark means your manager approved the shift swap. The shift will disappear from the "My Schedule" view as the shift is no longer yours.
A red X means your manager declined your shift swap request.
If you tap on a shift swap request with a red X, you can read the reason your manager provided for declining your request.
If you tap on the 'Take' tab, you can see shifts that other employees are trying to give away.
By tapping on a shift offered for swap, you will be asked if you wish to grab this shift. If you tap 'Yes', the shift will disappear from the 'Take' tab, since it is now considered to be 'off the market'. When a manager approves the shift swap, the shift will show up in your schedule.
If the shift you are trying to take is conflicting with one of your existing shifts or time off periods, the app will warn you.
This image shows the 'Time Off Requests' screen. It will show a list of your time off requests. The point of making a time off request is that your manager will be unable to schedule you for shifts during the requested time off period.
To make a new time off request, tap on the 'NEW' button.
Tap the start and end date/time selection buttons to choose a time period for your time off request. If you changed your mind about making a time off request, you can tap the Android back button to leave the time off request screen.
By tapping on the 'Locations' button you can choose which of your work places will receive your request. You can also leave the selection at the default ' All Locations' to send the request to all of your work places.
If your time off request is conflicting with an existing time off period or shift, the app will warn you.
To add another site, tap the hamburger icon in the top left corner, and select 'Add Site'
Enter the token from the POS system and tap 'ADD SITE'
To remove a site, tap on the hamburger icon in the top left corner and tap 'Remove site'
Select the site you want to remove and tap 'REMOVE SITE'. If you were logged in to only one site you will be sent to the login screen.
