Monitoring Breaks and Overtime

Monitoring Breaks and Overtime

Setup - System Preferences - Time Clock Setup

Certain time clock settings can be made to aid in showing managers when employees are taking breaks, slipping into overtime, or abusing their breaks.

Disable Time Clock Warnings: This will stop overtime warnings and time clock overlap warnings from displaying in manager console after running end of day or when viewing a labor report.

Show Breaks On Manager Access: Displays employees on break or will soon break.
Show Breaks Warn/Required On Manager Access: Displays employees on required breaks or breaks set for warning or those who will be on these breaks soon.
Show Overtime On Manager Access: Displays employees on overtime or will be on overtime soon.
These functions will cause alerts to show up when a manager signs into a terminal.
Print Hourly Overtime To: Prints a report to a printer each hour of employees that are in or will soon be in overtime.
Print Hourly Breaks To: Prints a report to a printer each hour of employees that are in or should soon be on break.
These options are useful for getting physical alerts for management to help control labor. You could set these to a specific terminal to have it print out every hour at that one dedicated terminal, and a manager could regularly monitor that station.
