Manager Console Password Expiration

Manager Console Password Expiration

Setup - System Preferences - Time Clock Setup

Employees utilize an ID for authentication at the terminal, while managers are required to use a complete password to access the manager console. Manager passwords must adhere to specific criteria, being 7-16 characters in length and including at least 1 letter and 1 number. This stringent requirement is in place to enhance security, particularly for accessing more sensitive information and settings that have system-wide implications within the POS system. To further bolster security measures, the POS system prompts managers to periodically reset their passwords. The frequency of these resets can be controlled in Time Clock Setup.

Pswd Exp Days (Password Expiration Days): Number of days before a password expires. Maximum is 90 days.
After the set number of days from when a user has changed their password (the example above would be 60), they will be prompted with an 'Expired Password' when attempting to log in and their login will be rejected (see below for example). If a user who has an expired password needs to change their password, refer to Changing or Updating Expired Password in Manager Console.
