Understanding Link Maximum

Understanding Link Maximum

This article will go over how when setting up links in a merchandise item, what the Max box is used for.
Info
This column is meant to set the maximum amount of items that can be added from that link.

For example, the max being 1 for the sides screengroup means that when that link is selected, you can only choose one item from that screengroup, only the one side.

Alert
Note that this is only relevant if the link also has the Mult checkbox checked to allow for multiple selections of items from that screengroup.

As Mod Qty

- In Manager Console, go to Merchandise > Modify Merchandise
- Select a merchandise item from the screengroup you are setting the link max for, then select Edit
- In the General  tab, locate As Mod Qty

Warning
When this is blank or set to 0, it is ignored.

Idea
When this blank is set to 1 or 2, that will be the value it is assigned for when it comes to the link maximum.

Example

- Lets say you have an item with a selection for Sides, and the maximum is set to 2.
- Within the screengroup, the location offers regular sides and premium sides
- Lets say fries is a regular side, and cheese fries is a premium

- Fries would have an As Mod Qty of 1, Cheese Fries would have As Mod Qty of 2
- This would allow the choice of either 2 regular sides or 1 premium.
