Customizing a Screen Group

Name: Name of the Screen Group as seen in Manager Console
External Name: The name of the screen group as it appears to the employees (and customers if using online ordering or Chowly integration)
External Description: The description of the screen group as it would appear to customers when using online ordering and/or Chowly integration
Sort: The order in which this screen group is organized (Screen Groups with the same sort number will be organized alphabetically)
Cols/Page: Number of columns per page (This is to determine how many buttons appear for this screen group; ex. Entering 3 will cause the screen group to have 3 columns of buttons)
Rows/Page: Number of Rows per page (This is to determine how many buttons appear for this screen group; ex. Entering 6 will cause the screen group to have 6 rows of buttons)
Reducing the number of column/rows will increase the button size.
Header Name: When this screen group is used as a link for a merchandise item and has "PHdr" selected, 'Header Name' is what will print on the kitchen chit above the selected modifier.
Graphic Name: File name for the image used for this screen group.
Default Price Level: The price level that items in this screen group will default to.
If you want a single item to be priced differently when selected from this screen than it is priced in other areas of your menu:
1. Click the “Advncd” button on the right side of the “screens” tab on the appropriate row
2. Choose the default price level from the drop box and uncheck the price levels you do not want to be functional on this screen group
3. Click “OK” when you are done.

Auto Sort: Enabling this will automatically sort buttons in this screen group alphabetically
Is Modifier Screen: Identifies this screen group to contain modifiers
Is Sides Screen:
Checking the box for “Is Mod/Side Screen” does NOT mean the items located on that screen group are ALWAYS modifiers or sides EVERYWHERE within the database, it means they will generally function as modifiers or sides WHEN SELECTED FROM THIS SCREEN GROUP.
Is Manager Only: Employees with "Sell Restricted Item" enabled in the security tab will be the only ones allowed to enter this item.
Restrict Lookup: This will cause the "Name Lookup" button to only find items in this screen group when this is the active screen group.
Tab Out Pre-Pends: This will cause items that have the "Is Pre-Pend" checkbox enabled to appear in a small column to the left of the merchandise items. Their screen location will need to be assigned a single digit, and will be ordered on the screen this way.
Pop-Up Screen: This screen group will appear as a pop-up window with no additional options other than the items in this screen group.
Single Screen: Allows multiple selections of modifiers on this screen.
Combine on Screen: Combines the modifiers on a single line on the on-screen check
Combine on Chit: Combines the modifiers on a single line on a kitchen chit.
Equal Charges:
Verify on Add to Cart: When using online ordering, items from this screen group will generate a pop-up with full details of the item prior to adding to cart.
Get Customer Name: When using online ordering, the customer will be prompted for a name when selecting an item from this screen group.
Get Open Text: When using online ordering, items from this screen group will provide a text box for customers to enter special instructions in.
In-Active: This will disable the screen group and hide it from your list of screen groups. To find an inactive screen group, go to 'Merchandise' - 'Screen Groups' and check the "In-Active" checkbox in the bottom right. Then you can access disabled screen groups and remove the "In-Active" status if need be.
To add this screen group to a menu, see the “Menus” section.
