Configuring JK-W03 Wifi Printer
Update Firmware
- Plug printer into PC using USB to USB cable
- Go to Drive. Search for “SNBC Configuration Tools”
- Download the Beta Printer Utility V1.66 folder
- Download the .zip file that has the .jk file needed for the update
- Make sure the printer can be found on the Printer Utility tool. If you cannot find it, you may need to download the actual printer drivers from the CRS website.
- Once you have found the printer on the Printer Utility tool (using Port Set), use the FW Download option to locate the .jk file needed to update the firmware.
Set the WIFI and IP
- Using the BYUSBNetConfig.exe, search for the printer
- Once you have identified the printer, use the Wlan Setting button.
- Change the communication mode to infrastructure
- Put the network name into SSID
- Make sure channel is set to Auto
- Check the Use Security Mode
- Security is typically set to WPA2-PSK
- WPA Mode: AES
- Wpa Key Format: ASCII
- Wpa Data: Wifi Password.
- Reboot
- Search the printer again, use IP Settings to assign the Gateway, Subnet, and IP address that Printer will need to use to communicate with POS system
- Reboot
- Run a test print to confirm that your settings were changed properly
