Check to Ensure that All Stand In Payment Have Cleared
Check to Ensure that All Stand In Payment Have Cleared
What are the steps for a manager to check each terminal for “stand-in” payments once the internet is back and processing live transactions?
- The manager would swipe with their manager card to bring up the Manager Menu.
- Select "stand in payments" on the right-hand side of the menu.
- It will list transactions, if any, and show if they were declined, approved, or wait to process.
- Declines can reflect as a shortage on the credit card deposit unless the transaction is reopened, payment voided out, and food comped.
Stand-in payments can take about 30 minutes to process once the internet service is re-establised.
