Building Menu Items

Getting Started

The steps below are a basic outline of what can be done in onePOS. There are many more combinations and levels of detail that can be added. Understanding how to make changes in the Management Console Application and how to check those changes in the FOH Application is essential to speed up menu programming. This document assumes you already have a screen group and sales category for the item you wish to add.

When rung up, the server will be prompted to make a dip selection, and if the server wants to choose Honey Mustard and BBQ they may. This is possible because the Multi Select box for the link was checked. Next the server will be prompted to modify the sliders (86 Pickle, 86 Tomato) They’re able to select the four buttons because the Multiple Select box for the link was checked

Now let’s say in this restaurant 80% of the guest order their sliders as is with Ranch. Well to save time for the servers Lets Auto Select the Ranch Dressing and skip the second screen for Food Mod. They will always have the option to make a dip selection and modify items on the food mods screen. But time will be saved by not having to navigate those screens up front.
