Bluetooth Chipper Pairing Android

Pairing your Chipper with onePOS Terminal apps

(Android Tablet versions)

Before Pairing Chippers :

Make sure all Manager Console>Setup>System Preferences>EMV Reader #XX settings match the following :

The Chippers are TranSafe EMV Readers

Terminal number must be correct for the Tablet

Secondary will be NONE

Force Settle to NONE

Authorization Time out : 90 Seconds

Uniterm uses port : 8123

Uniterm Device Type : bbpos_cros (ALL LOWERCASE)

Uniterm Device : BT (this will tell the onePOS server this is a Bluetooth Device)

BTLE Name : (Leave this line blank, it will auto populate itself!)

Once Manager Console is set, you are ready to proceed!

  1.      Open the Bluetooth Settings menu by pulling down from the top of your screen to display the Quick Settings menu and hold down on the Bluetooth Icon or click the sprocket. (If you click the sprocket, it will take you to the Settings menu where you will need to click on Bluetooth.)

  2.      Here, you will select the correct device by it’s serial number. This is located on the box it comes in and on the back of the device as well. Pair it as a Phone/Communication device and not as a Bluetooth external device.

3.      Once you have paired your device, it may appear to disconnect but it is still paired. You can open the onePOS Terminal Application on your device and sign in as a Manager, using your PIN or Sign on ID that is set in your Employee profile. (If you have a card assigned, you will need a different Manager’s PIN to sign in.

4.      From the above menu, you can press “Pair EMV Reader” to prompt the application to search for paired devices. It should look like this :

After the application recognizes a paired device, it will populate a paired Chipper that you can use to process payments. Recognized devices will look like this :

Click the bbpos_cros device named CHB2AXXXXXXXXXX and it will close out the application, this is normal and expected.

You can now open the application and begin processing payments via Chipper. It is encouraged to verify this is working by testing a transaction and voiding it as well.
