Auto-Tagging Merchandise Items
Within Manager Console, you can set it so that when items are ordered in a specific dining area, they automatically have a specific modifier added to it.
This is most common / useful for takeout dining areas, so that each item ordered in the take-out dining area screen will automatically have the 'to-go' modifier added to it.
1. Navigate to Setup > Revenue Source Setup > Dining Areas,
2. Choose the dining area for which you want to add the tag - In this instance we will use Takeout - and select Edit
3. Navigate to the Ordering tab. Ensure Auto Tag Takeout is checked, and select the modifier link you want from the dropdown menu next to this checkbox.
In this instance we will select **To-Go**
Make sure "Togo" is also checked in the 'general' box on the left side. You will have to scroll down to the bottom of this list to see this option.
Now any menu item selected within this dining area will have the To-Go modifier automatically added to it, no additional steps needed!
